TGIF SO MUCH!

UPDATE: Moved her appointment up to tonight at 5pm even though it's with a vet I don't know. Phew. Busy much? This week can (nevermind).

Worked until after Midnight last night (ugh), now up and off to work. Tizzy awoke with serious rash and swelling above her eyes. She already got looked at for scratching the fur above her eyes off and they thought it was allergies. Advantage was no help, so it isn't flea allergies. She also has little scabs by her head and neck. She looks so uncomfy. Poor sweetie! The vet is going to see her Monday, but I was thinking, can I use aloe or hydrocortizone cream over the counter just on the part she is scratching to help her itch less until then? She's scratching like mad.

Also, Stardust got lonely and curled up right in my armpit with her head against mine. It was an adorable way to wake up, but not good for the allergies considering there is cat hair all over my pillow. Super cute though. Kitty lovin really is good for pain control. Seriously good medicine. :)

I'm looking forward to dinner and hopefully getting to watch some TV tonight as I haven't seen ANY all week.

She is terrified and now hiding within the cabinet that holds our sink. Not in the space where you put things with a door, but between that and the wall where there is no room and no possible way I can get her.

Poor thing. When she comes out, if you can give her a treat with the benadryl that will calm her down. You might also try cat nip now to help calm her.

She is so shy and sensitive and I just am kicking myself. I came home with no time to spare (Thanks traffic), beyond stressed and tired, and did not approach her with the total patience needed and she is smart and knew something was up.

I called the vet and was classy with a quavering voice trying not to cry.

My friend Foxy Roxy sent me this link too: http://www.ehow.com/how_4841769_treat-allergies-cats.html and I'm going to clean up the rooms upstairs and go to Mud Bay to buy her a sample of the all natural food at least.

All of the toys I got her and she doesn't like any of them except maybe the laser for a minute or so. She likes to tunnel under blankets which freaks Craig out since it's hot and he took her blanket away. I think that makes her feel unsafe.

The blankets are fine. A lot of the kitties in our shelter like to hide out under their beds or blankets when they are scared. They will come out if they got too hot. She might have a food allergy, most common is corn or wheat. There's a brand of cat food called By Nature that's corn, soy and wheat free that's sold at PetSmart that's a little less expensive than Science Diet (not as cheap as Meow Mix but that's kitty junk food). We feed it to the kitties we have that live in PetSmart and they all love it. They are doing well on it too - shiny coats, healthier weight (we have some chubby kitties) and lots of energy.
