I'm planning to buy some clothes!!! Eeeee! I have a 15% off the entire purchase at Kohl's coupon. One outfit and perhaps a shirt at Ross. I would also like a bra and a hoodie since my favorite hoodie has holes in the elbows. A sweatshirt would be an awesome find as would a cheap spring dress with a cardigan sweater.
Guess what else? I want a hair cut.
And and and? Yes! When my tax return arrives? I want to get myself a night guard that isn't broken to protect my teeth and a facial at a Maple Valley spa. Won't that feel nice? A facial? Maybe also a one time spray tan. I need to boost my self-esteem and say "welcome spring".
I got a good night guard that wasn't very expensive. I'll find the link for you.
You know, I have one that just needs to be melted to try before I get the custom one, but my dental insurance reset, and will cover half of a new one. I bit through my last one the pain was so intense, so I need a really tough one. It might be worth getting the custom one if it can prevent my root canal from failing.
is the one I got - impressive for 20 bucks! It's pretty damn tough. They send you both sizes - you will definitely take the smaller one.
I think that all sounds awesome. A new outfit can lift my spirits. Actually, even a new accessory often can, but I'm easy that way. :o) A new haircut (presuming it turns out well), usually REALLY picks me up!
I am really tempted to use a chunk of my tax return for that cloak trimmed with feathers. But it really needs to go for more practical things, and I question how well the feathers will hold up over time. I'll still do some little splurge... maybe. Maybe I'll just get my last jewelry lay away paid off.
You've been through a lot... I was going to say lately, but it's been going on a lot longer than lately. I recall that you once told me that you don't care so much for the phrase "I deserve it", but I think you do. You work hard, not just at your job, but in your personal life and on yourself as well. I know that that work should have its own payoffs, but sometimes a little bonus is in order, too!
Yes! I'm not thinking a super expensive outfit, but a bargain hunting one. I got some jewelry and fun purses for free at the swap party I went to last weekend. That was really fun!
A swap party sounds like fun. :o)
And you definitely don't have to spend money on an outfit for it to be special and wonderful.
I actually think I may enjoy outfits more if I get them at a bargain. I have a lot of guilt associated with spending money on myself, and it always mitigates my enjoyment of anything. My parents both grew up very, very poor, and I grew up fairly poor. Even if I saved my own money toward something special, I was chastised that I could use it on something more practical. My father was even more harsh, because he believed there was absolutely no difference in a garment that you paid ten dollars for and one you paid a hundred for, so paying more than ten was just foolish and, based on his attitude, tone, expression, even disgusting.
I couldn't dress the way I do if I didn't love thrifting!
What? No sparkly lip gloss from Sephora? Should I check you for fever?
Shockingly there is no gloss calling my name right now. There were two that were tempting, but I went to use them and found them disappointing.
I'm thinking a short angled Bob would be hot and going a lighter strawberry on top.
That would really bring out your features and make your eyes pop. I say go for it!
Why don't you get a few people together and do a spa trip? Some have packages that if a bunch goes in together then you get extra stuff. Maybe you can get your hair done, massage, a facial and a manicure for a low price...
