Australia The Movie and Chicken [Mar. 31st, 2009|08:47 am]
Ummm that is a LONG movie. Even Hugh Jackman shirtless could not distract me from the fact it really needed more editing. Sheila thought that Nicole Kidman looked "so much better" without makeup on and Craig and I both felt she looked way better in the one scene she was all dressed up in with her hair done and makeup on. *giggles* We both like the ultra feminine look while Sheila likes the more natural look. It was good to see Sheila!

Last night for dinner I made oven friend chicken! It was yummy and super easy, but not THAT healthy. Here's the recipe.

2 eggs
Chicken (thawed) (I used drumsticks with skin on for Craig plus some boneless skinless breast tenders for me)
One Large Can French's Chedar Fried Onions
1 tsp Pepper
A few dashes Paprika
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/2 tsp Onion Powder

Directions: Preheat oven to 425F
Put all spices and the can of onions in a ziplock storage bag and crush together.
Put eggs in bowl and stir well with a fork.
Dip each piece of chicken in egg then coat with mixture.
Put all coated chicken on a cookie sheet covered with tin foil and bake for about 30 minutes until done in the center and golden brown on the outside.

To make this some healthier, use 2 egg whites and one yolk and coat lightly in the chicken breast tenderloins (less coating), and then sprinkle with more spices to compensate for flavor. Also, just use the skinless boneless pieces for those who need fewer calories.

Saw it already, saw some of it again on the flight home from Denmark.

Editors, please. Hordes of them, yes. Needed, badly.

The chicken was quite yummy and I had fun spending time with you. The movie...esh, that was long. And the thing is, it didn't need to be. I think I said, "What?! This isn't over yet?!" far too many times.
