OH. ALL. RIGHT. You are just too freakin' cute...I love the outfit, and I hate that it doesn't belong to me, and even if it *did*, I don't have the panache to pull it off!
For a mere $5 it could easily belong to you! I had much fun at Ross this weekend. I walked out of there with 4 huge bags of stuff for under $100.
I don't think we *have* Ross, here. Well, not out here in the sticks, anyway. Not sure about Boston. I need to look into that, though. How large do they go in sizes? I'm not *hardly* a size 6. :)
They have plus-sizes, so basically from size 0 to size 26W for women.
heh...the closest one to here is in New Jersey...sorta doubt I'll be headin' there any time soon. Dangit.
Okay, I am officially going to become a thief. I want that skirt. It's so cute!
You don't have to be a thief because it was less than a dollar! I felt like I was stealing at that price.
Haha, I meant I was coming there to steal it from you! :)
I am just being silly. It really is a cute skirt and ThatKellyGirl was right - you pull it off very well :)
Thanks! I want to sing "Welcome to the Jungle" in this skirt.
Ok, I want a breakdown of what each item costs! heheheh
Top-$4 on clearance at Deb.
Now, the other stuff isn't new, but was cheap too. Bra-$4.99 at Ross. Tights, $1.99 on clearance at Ross. Shoes-$19.99 on sale at Kohl's.
So, once again the shoes cost more than my entire outfit.
That was speedy, thanks for breaking it down! I love a good bargain...Sometimes Ross has great deals but last time I went to the one by South Center, I felt like someone had set off a bomb in there it was a MESS!
The Ross is always like that, but the Federal Way Ross is where I found all of these bargains.
The Kent East Hill Ross is a mess, but it's home base for me.
All the Ross' I've been in are like that. You can find some good deals but you really have to hunt.
After shopping in many a Ross, I've always found the one at Southcenter to be the messiest, even worse than the one in Tacoma--although that's 2nd for sure. None of them are as neat as the pricier stores, but I'm willing to deal with that for the great deals. I've found the one on South Hill in Puyallup was the neatest, but I've only been there in the morning. I'm sure it's not quite as well picked up in the evenings.
We should Ross it up soon!
Thank you! I like the flippyness of the skirt, but it's long enough to still be professional at work I think.
It looks very professional. I think it's a great length, and a fun pattern, but it's not too crazy for work at all.
You and I share the dressing on the cheap and I am trying to instill in my daughter(Julia) the same concept, although it is hard with a 14 year old. She and I get high end name brands for pennies on the dollar at this chain of second-hand stores in Hollywood. I mean, I have been able to get her Joe Jeans, Guess, Marc Jacobs etc etc for 5 to 10 dollars!! I really like your outfits(yesterday's phost as well)
Thanks! With changing sizes so much, I've had to learn to enjoy dressing for less. I have so much more fun in an outfit knowing that I didn't spend too much on it.
the skirt is cute but how is the quality of the stuff you buy super cheap?
ive been cleaning my closets lately and i noticed that my $100 pants and sweaters are in awesome conditions YEARS later, whereas my $20-50 pants and sweaters look awful after awhile (sometimes a short while).
i have to think the quality of the clothing is the likely reason.
Well, many of them are brand name, so for example, I have Calvin Klein pants that were $80 at Nordstrom that I got for $12.99 at Ross. Same pants.
I never want to wear the same clothes for 10 years if I even am the same size, I hope to not be wearing the same style, so I'm ok with the quality not being as nice.
Damn that's cute, I need to go shopping with you!!!!
Thanks! I love to shop and need some shopping buddies who are all for bargains. :)
