Injection Results [Dec. 17th, 2008|11:39 am]
[Current Mood |disappointeddisappointed]

Instead of doing the facet injection, he just repeated the last injection he did only this time MUCH closer to the disk. And it HURTS and I don't have the pain relief I had last time, but I think that may be because he used more steroids and less numbing stuff? He said it was the same, but I SAW him do it further away from the spine last night and not in the "epidural" space. I'm so frustrated and I'm already FREAKING moody from this dose of steroids so I may break into tears.

Ellen was an awesome hostess but unfortunately I threw up my dinner in the restaurant AND fell asleep early making myself a bore of a guest.

The injection still could work, but right now I'm beyond disappointed and depressed. How are they going to help me? I'm ready to get a new MRI. There's no way my back hurts THIS bad and the nerve hurts THIS bad with nothing being wrong with it. I mean, it seems impossible. I was just counting on this to work.

I'm glad I could be there, sorry I was so sleepy this morning, I'm really not a morning person. ;)

I used to like that "everything happens for a reason" cliche, I'm less fond of it in recent years. Everything happens, trying to find a purpose for our struggles is a way of making it easier to cope with. But learning patience is never a bad thing. :)

That cliche was fine a few years ago. Now it makes me so angry. The longer an unjust problem goes on for the harder it becomes to find a reason and just excuse it.

I'll try to use the experience for good. It takes me awhile to adjust to disappointments. I guess that's one thing about being an optimist. It comes with disappointments, but hey, at least I have practice dealing with them. ;)
