so, how does one get such curly locks?
You take all of the top of your hair and put it in a clip. Then you take 1" horizontal (NOT vertical) sections of your hair and wrap it around the outside of a small curling iron (you never put it under the clip, so you may burn your fingers and curse). Then you run your fingers through to break up the curl and move on to all the sections doing the top last. You hairspray the finished curls into submission so they stay, and *ding* old fashioned looking curls. She is sending me on a mission to get a clip for one side to pin it back so my earrings show. I forgot, she also put in shine spray to finish the look.
I just love Deeah the hair lady. I got to meet her beautiful 4 month old son Carlo for the first time too! He's a little cutie. While I was there she said, "You DO realize I'm doing your hair when you get married one day, right? You'd better call me as soon as you have a ring!" I just love her. :) She does color better than ANYONE I've ever met. See the dark cherry rinse on the bottom layer she put in? I also just have 8 little highlights, but they are in the right place. I've been going to her for almost 4 years now and I have to say it's been the best 4 years my hair has ever known. She also knows how to do my hair so when I have to go 8 or 10 weeks between appointments it doesn't look that bad. Now that is talent. Good hair is important, and she is just the best out there. You know, I should send her this, huh? I never tell her this enough.
one more reason I need to move to Seattle. :)
Thanks!! I'll have to try. My hair may not be long enough. I did it in rollers and it ended up looking more like Marilyn Monroe (not that that was a bad thing!)
Thank you! I hope I can recreate it on Party night! :) Must buy hairspray.
Gorgeous! Deeah is one talented lock-smith. *giggles at the silly pun*
