For Chistmas I asked for this lamp and sconce set to put into the lavendar/craft room. I never use the room. I'm thinking about turning it into a beautiful girly guest room since I love the lavendar. It does have a dresser, but just needs to be cleaned up and have a table cloth and a cheap bed put in to make an amazing room appropriate for crafts AND guests. It should be "staged" as a child's room for future sales anyhow. It would make me like the house more to decorate that room with a white canopy, the lavendar, ect.
Craig hates these lamps. I think this room should be mine since the office is his.
I say go for the lamps!
He doesn't have to sleep in that room so he should relax.
I will once I have the money, or maybe I'll get it for Christmas. :)
I have an organza canopy with fringe that I just took off the ceiling when I converted the nursery into a guest room. Wait, I think I have a picture:
You can sorta see it on the left there. Anyway, it's designed to fit ove a twin size bed, but it's a bit larger than that, IMO. I have no use for it and I'm all for promoting girliness, so you can have it if it doesn't look too childish for your taste!
Also, I really love those lamps. EVERYTHING should have crystals.
Thanks! Those were the first ones I did, now I have crazy crap painted all over the house. There are random horizontal stripes, diamonds, the gotham skyline, I just painted a robot room for my son where I did monochromatic gears all over the walls... The hard part is just coming up with more insane ideas!
I have to do a pirate room: send me your ideas!!! :)
Want me to add you? I'm always posting my home improvement escapades.
Okay, just email me some time and tell me where to send it.
...it may or may not have googly eyes when it gets there. :-X
I think it is totally cool to have a "woman cave" if he has his "man cave". My guest room is where I went all girly when I decorated it.
First thing I thought about when I saw these lamps, what a pain in the A$$ to clean! :)
When I had Bonnie I painted the 2nd room pink and got her a pink canopy bed etc. She hated it..still talks about that horrid pink room ! silly girl..
Well, they are pretty small, so it shouldn't take too terribly long to get them clean.
Does Craig have a problem with you decorating one room when you've gone along with his "bare walls" theme throughout the rest of the house?
BTW, love the lamp and sconces.
