Happy Wakings [Oct. 8th, 2008|08:17 am]
[Current Mood |thankfulthankful]

He keeps dreaming that I don't like him anymore, or I won't go anywhere with him.

I keep dreaming that we have twins (a girl and a boy) of various ages and we are going camping with them!

I keep waking up so happy to be curled up with him, knowing full well that I'm one of the few lucky ones to feel so very loved. I feel better today both mentally and physically. Today is the day my slides get completed. I am going send them out for final review tonight.

But first--I want to post about shallow girly things.

Philosophy Skincare
The Present (clear makeup which really is a makeup primer)- $25

While this is by far the best makeup primer in terms of function and feel and lasting that I've ever used, it is a bit expensive. Still my grade is A-

The Supernatural Airbrush (concealer Palette). - $25

This product is flat out awesome and a great value for the $25! The concealer lasted through physical therapy AND a cold. Amazing under mineral makeup. Would buy again in a second. A+++++

The Microdelivery Peel (Facial Peel) - $65

While VASTLY expensive, this is the only product to truely work, make my skin glow, and get rid of the peely dull look that it can get when seasons change. The high pricepoint is only offset by the fact it lasted me 2 years the last time I bought it. A

Hope in a Jar Moisturizer - $38

Not impressed. Not a great light texture or a great soothing feeling. I have 1/2 a jar unused and I use the Dramatically Different clinique lotion instead which is $15 AND has SPF 30. Hope in a Tube is not better. Both are so/so and not right for my skin. D

Vanilla Birthday Cake Lipgloss - $12

Tastes so good! Heavily vanilla. Wonderful slippery texture. Lasts well. A- (minus is only for the price and the fact that the Double Hot Cocoa tasted better). I hope they have double hot cocoa flavor at Christmas again.

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush in Hot Cocanut - $6 when bought 2 at a time.

Amazing chocolate flavor. Great shine. Subtle shimmer. Sticky just how I like it. In a stiff breeze your hair will be stuck to your lips. Great price! Tastes like spicy hot cocoa flavored with a hint of hazelnut. A+ Can't live without. I hope they bring "vanilla puddin'" back as a flavor.

Kitten Bath Poof Glitter - $28

Ok, I know you can get this kind of thing for less than half the price, but it's the scent and fineness of the glitter that makes me feel so girly. I'm feeling so sexy challenged that I splurged on this and can't wait for it to arrive. The last one I had I just loved and it's been years and I still miss it. It makes me feel girly. B

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Hot Fragrance - $37-$59

I have deep regret that I didn't buy one of these. It smells sexy sexy feminine and nice. I think the plum and stargazer lily scents are what I like. I was so regretting that I didn't buy this that I searched eBay and found a new one for $17 plus shipping and it's on it's way! A

Ok, to work now! I look forward to posting more soon.

See, and I love Hope in a Jar, because most moisturizers either turn my face into a grease slick or else don't do the job and that one is just right to sink into my skin and make it nice. Meanwhile, I didn't get the point of The Present and the MicroPeel -- my skin didn't look or feel any different through application of those products.

Plus I hate sticky lip gloss.

I think you and I are beauty polar opposites... So if we tell each other about the products that we hate, the other will probably find things that she loves! lol

Ahhh. Ok, I think I get it. You want to look and feel "natural"?

I want maximum enhancement. We are polar opposites. I don't give a flip about looking or feeling "natural" I want to feel as freaking vibrant, beautiful, and enhanced" as possible. I love sticky gloss because it is the only kind that stays on. Otherwise, one sip of water and the gloss is gone.

For the peel, your skin needs to be IN TROUBLE and I mean peeling for you to need this product. Maybe your skin is too healthy to need it? Also, for The Present, it only helps if your skin is uneven in texture, so combination skin.

Ha, see, that's why I avoid lip gloss altogether and go for lipstick instead. :-D

This is fun!

I wear gloss over my lipstick to get the maximum shine. Craig is covered in gloss usually. I have lipgloss next to my bed and can't go to sleep without putting it on! It's a "feel" thing. Dry lips really freak me out.

In fact, Craig and I almost didn't end up dating because of his chapped lips.

i have a few vs lipglosses like the ones you mentioned and i hate them. they're SO sticky, i mean, sticky is an UNDERSTATEMENT because I've never found others as sticky. But you do have a good point, if you want it to actually stay on for more than 5 minutes, they'll do the trick..

but agghh i can't handle the stickyness

Now what lipglosses were they? I may have to go on a hunt. ;)
