I'm back from the Pulloze. ;)
Went to Moscow. Moscow, ID that is, home of the Vandals. Also was in Cougar Country, which may explain the 20 year old Marines following my MOTHER and I on the freeway and hooting and hollering at us. I'm like, "Ummm,..boys? I'm 34 and she's 57? Stay in school, mkay?"
I got confused and bragged that I could legpress 450lbs. My brother bet me $500 I couldn't do a set of 15 at 350lbs, so we went to the rec center. It was hilarious. I heaved with all my might and the only thing that moved my was butt shooting up out of the legpress machine. It was so freaking heavy. I didn't even get close, but we were all near tears with my effort to do it. We had a blast and our Quality Inn had a huge conference table in it, so we held a family conference and had deep conversation for hours. It was great fun.
In the morning, it was Zoe's for coffee, then my Mom and I laid by the pool where a young construction working tried to pick up on her. It was a riot to me. My Mom is so hot young guys can't resist talking to her. I went up to the room to enjoy the AC and my book sun free. It was so over 80 degrees that my lipgloss caused my lips to burn, for the first time since my lipgloss addiction (which started long ago), I burned my lips and they chapped!
After that excitement we tried to go to the National Lentil Festival. The free lentil chili in the big bowl was gone before we could get there. Within 20 minutes of the festival opening. What a shame. As a result we had to seek other excitement. We ended up in a Ross in Idaho.
I'm thrilled to report that not only did I try Austrian Coffee, but I tried a strange Dutch pancake this morning. Yum. The Olde European Breakfast place was tasty. We also ate Gyros in Idaho.
I had a hard time finding jeans, but I tried so hard to make my Mom and SIL laugh by trying on some acid washed skinny jeans from the Jrs dept, but I was cracking up and they weren't impressed. I looked ready to audition for Rock of Love. They were so low cut it looked like 2 hands grabbing my butt and crack out the top. I was a low cut top away from a 80's video skank. I bought 4 sweaters, a pair of exercise shorts, a hoodie that fits, and my Mom bought me a pair of jeans at Ross. It was awesome! I didn't spend much, and if it keeps raining I'll be warm enough. After that I was so tired I fell asleep when everyone was chatting in the room at 9pm and didn't wake up until 8am. Yep, I'm a big ball of energy.
My Mom and I hit some traffic on the way home, but I'm home and Craigy isn't back from Portland yet. It was a relaxing weekend and I'm glad I got to see family.
