|Safely Back from Large Dirt Hole

Otherwise known as the Grand Canyon. It was way more impressive than photos can show, but the Colorado River is much less lovely than I expected. It looks kind of like a large brown turd this time of year.
Anyhow, enough chatter, show me the pictures!
Ok, that's the album, but there are a few in particular I'd like to point out so I can explain.
For my birthday, my brother took me to a 6 course fancy Italian meal where I tried Duck for the first time. It was hilarious because I'd eat all of the cheese and protein out of the dishes, but give him more of the rest. Fine dining is perfect portions for me, even though many people leave hungry.
This is immediately after I caught them making out, which I missed with the camera. I threatened to sell their picture to the paparazzi.
Scott was tempting fate the entire time we were out there. Staying behind the safety gate was not on his agenda.
At first I didn't get it, but he helped me climb out to a very risky out of bounds area. I'm more proud and happy I did that than ever. I had to step over a drop that would absolutely kill you if you fell, and face down the fear. It was one step that felt fantastic. How many of us are one step away from dying and let it hold us back constantly? See that little rock area that juts forward in the above photo? In this picture, with help from Scott, I'm standing on the end of it with nothing between me and the bottom of the canyon but air.
Last but not least, this is the worst photo of me I've seen in years. I look entirely "special" and for that reason I had to share. The next time you think I'm photogenic, take a look at this bad boy.
