Losing a Customer [Dec. 18th, 2007|04:38 pm]
[Current Mood |annoyedannoyed]

Deepdiscount.com has royally pissed me off. My gifts for my Dad, my Sister, and Craig were placed on Dec 8th and none of the status showed as backordered. They just shipped a tiny portion of the items today, expected to arrive on Dec 27th at the soonest! The items I need most didn't even ship yet!!

I sent them quite an email.

Now I have to go shopping all over again. With very sore Quads.

Oh what fun it is to piss off your customers in a one horse open bad company policy!

Maybe all of that shopping will help you work out the soreness. :) I am sorry that your gifts will not be here on time. We ordered my oldest daughter a scooter and when Dean put it together one piece was broken. We had to take pictures of it and email them to the company. As if someone would try to get an oddball part from a scooter company by saying theirs was broken during shipment. Some places are more trouble then they are worth!

Good luck shopping. I am going Friday to finish up.

I'm quite willing to wait. I'm sure that Dad would be as well. I still love you. Don't stress!

What we do in situations like this is print a picture of the item, then wrap it up with a note as to when it can be expected.

I'm sure your loved ones will understand.

That's a good idea. I ordered a book that was promised to be shipped on Dec. 11... and I just got a confirmation email yesterday saying "We just shipped your order. Media Mail." Wha...? Oh, the humanity!

I see their deep discount is primarily on their usability.

Try Cashbaq.com - if you use the link from my userinfo page we both get a $25 startup bonus. But they link to every retailer out there, you can use coupons and whatnot (like Overstock, Linens n Things, The Body Shop, etc) and then you get 3%-10% of your spending back since they get a kickback for referrals. If it's Ebay shopping, start there and you get 35% back! It seriously works. I have $50 in my account there now waiting to cut a check to me in about a month.

It's too late now. I'll be doing the rest of my shopping in person now. Can't deal with the shipping/stock issues of anymore online stuff at this point, but thanks for the link.
