pretty awesome accomplishment!!!!
Thanks! Seriously, I never could have imagined.
I used to wear black all the time in my fat days...thought I could hide the fact that I was 405 lbs. You are amazing!
I still like my black, being a little bit goth around the edges, but I also wear all sorts of colors these days. At my biggest I had no idea how bad the problem had become. I felt so distant from my body and so helpless, like it just "happened" to me and I wasn't doing it. It is strange how easy it is to justify insane behavior, like how I would take Chicken in a Biscuit crackers and just DROWN them in easy cheese and eat them in huge doses like it was a normal snack, then go back for two bowls of sugared cereal and anything else super carby that I thought tasted good. That kind of thing had just become so normal for me that it didn't even shock me.

Re: Totally amazing...
I thought you might have a little goth in you! There is a great club in Hollywood that I go to occastionally when I want to really get crazy, its called Miss Kitty's---I bet you and your beau would love it!
Craig is so very non-goth. It's funny. He loves classic rock, classic cars, and dressing up for him means slacks and stuff. For me, dressing up is in a corset and heels. It's amazing the two of us get along so well since on the surface we are so different.

Re: Totally amazing...
I was told there is a lid for every pot....sounds like you have found your soul-mate...which is totally awesome. On another note, I have a question I want to ask you, but not in this forum...could I email you directly? Its regarding weight loss, desirability and self esteem issues. I am at specsafety at yahoo dot com
Sure! we are leaving for the weekend right now, but I'll email once I get back into town. email@example.com
Very impressive! I wish I'd "known" you then to follow the progress. You should be really proud of your accomplishments!
I was at my very highest weight when I started this journal. I think that was 2001. Then was the first major effort, medically managed weight loss. I've been at least 50lbs under that high weight ever since. Then in 06 I had weight loss surgery, and I've lost a little more than 100lbs since then. This is the first time I've ever had a normal BMI, or even a non "obese" BMI since I was 13 years old. It's never over though, so now comes the hard part of trying to stay at a stable weight year after year, and doing the very boring stuff that makes it possible. :)
Well you are an inspiration. And you're right, it's every day for the rest of your life. It's all about adapting a new way of eating and way of living, but I'm sure you feel so amazing that just looking in the mirror or moving around so gracefully is a constant reminder that it's worth the work.
That is soooooo amazing! Keep up the great work!
Wow, that does NOT even look like you (2nd pic). Amazing! Amazing you've lost so much!
Thanks. It's really great to have a normal body weight.
