Dum Da DAAAH! [Aug. 23rd, 2007|09:26 am]
[Current Mood |anticipatory]

I'm working at home awaiting the Rolls Royce of laundry to arrive. I have many dirty dirty clothes. Oh when will the Lowe's truck arrive?

Which model washer/dryer are you getting? When we built our house last year I put my laundry room upstairs outside of my bedroom and put in two connections for a dryer, and one washer. We have our old (10+ year old) washer/dryer set in there and I really want to upgrade and get the second dryer (we're a family of 5, so we go through a LOT of laundry!!) I'm just not entirely sure what models to look at.

We got the Whirlpool Duet 9400 series in stainless steel with the pedestals. It was a$$pensive! According to consumer reports, it's a very good one and energy efficient though. Craig picked it. I was going to go with Frigidaire Affinity.

*sigh* I'm probably going to have to drop at least $3 grand to outfit my laundry room with the latest and greatest. By the time I save up for that (cause my damn camera is first!!) it'll be up to $4K! :)

Enjoy your laundry! ;)

It did cost almost $3000. Sigh. My credit card is burning up.

You might want to stick with top-loaders

I've read that front loading washers vibrate so much that you really need to have them on the ground floor.

Hmmm... I hadn't heard that. Thanks for the info! Will definitely talk to the salesman about it.
