I love this particular photo.

My hair is about this long. What products/tools do you think it would take to get my hair to do this?

I'm growing my hair out. SO far, in one month it's gone from the base of my skull all the way to where my crew neck shirts hit, so I think it will be as long as I want it by Christmas.

So, when I've finished growing it again, I'm hoping for a style much like this
, so it will be full and shorter when curly, and still look good straight. Ultimately, I'm NOT going as long as it was before my cut. I prefer it looking healthy and full like it does now. Other "shoulder length, but not waist length" looks you'd like to suggest are most welcome! Should be longer than a bob, shorter than "extra long" and work well for naturally curly hair, adding extra volume.

To do the first style you will need some hot rollers and to do a little back-combing.

I think that the hot rollers I have are too big, as they worked when I had longer hair. How big do you think the rollers should be?

Maybe the 1" or 1.5" hot rollers.

Ha! I don't even have hairspray. Any suggestions and kinds to get that aren't really stinky?

I am obsessed with the 40's and 50's hair-do's and have always wanted to know how to achieve them. My new neighbor is a hair designer, as well as a distributor for hair product (yay! I get all my brand name hair product for free!) but I will have to ask her how to achieve this look. You'd look AMAZING!! :)

sorry to be a wrench in the plan, but your shorter hair style is so much cuter than the long, and it suits you so well.

are you just missing the long?

I like it long better, well, not super long, but medium length. Part of why it looks better shorter is because it was so thin before I cut it. I don't want to grow it so long that it looks thin again.

Also, I like the ability to put my hair up, so I want it just a bit longer for that reason. I get too hot when I'm dancing, and putting it up helps.
