14 days [Jan. 11th, 2007|01:31 pm]
[Current Mood |sicksick]

I've now had this cold for 14 days. If I still have it in 6 more days, I'm going to the doctor. I think that at some point I should be totally over it, but I've heard this evil cold can hang on quite a while.

raw garlic
fresh ginger

Not all at once but they will help.

What kind of symptoms are you rocking specifically?

I've had it all, but what remains are white dotted and very swollen and painful tonsils, plus a headache and running nose, and sometimes coughing.

If you take honey (just knock back a spoonful or so every so often) it will help with the inflammation. Honey is an anti-inflamatory. If you are feeling kicky you can take garlic caplets (easier than mincing raw garlic and knocking it back) it is also an anti-inflamatory and it is one of the few antibiotics that doesn't weaken. (many viruses will become resistant over time -but not with garlic)
Both of those will help with the tonsils.
You might want to buy a lime. Slice it in half and rub it against your temples. That will ease the headache.
Get yourself some Reed's gingerale. It will hurt initially to drink but it will do a world of good to help with the healing. As will eating raw ginger.

Lame! Sad to hear it may go on for longer. I can't imagine 3 months. Sending you many poor babies.
