hmm...about 7 or 8 of those you could very well do! and do relatively soon.
it's funny how we seem to "put off" things that we want or can do until they seem unachievable even though they may be very simple.
it's kind of like the "i'll be happy when..." syndrome. it seems to be part of the human condition.
It's really fun to look at dreams and think about what I've been putting off that is really within reach!
A friend did this and it encouraged me to. I recommend it! It's eye opening.

I would love to still see a Broadway show with you in New York.
When you get ready to adopt the kitties, let me know and I will give you hints on what to look for so you don't wind up with a sickly one - which is unfortunately so darn common.
I think we should all plan a girl trip to NYC before we hit 40. We could do a long weekend enough to hit up points of interest and see a show but not long enough to require a ton of money or time off.
I agree. Once this wedding is done we should talk about it seriously. :) Maybe aim for like two years?
Yes! Seriously, I've been wanting to do this ever since before we even knew eachother. We'll have to save up because NY is expensive.
Remember you have a marriott discount! :)
I have a lavender tea cup/saucer I should send you.
That would be lovely! I'm thinking about hosting another BBQ with some fun for kids. Maybe that would be a good excuse to hang out.
I do too! I have room for all of you. In fact, Aaron could have his own room.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. He'd have to get out of our bed first. (He's still sleeping with us most of the night).
Maybe we'll plan a weekend trip. I'm trying to do more of those. The only problem is that airfare for 5 people is OUTRAGEOUS.
I'm planning to wear glitter red shoes under my wedding gown with striped stockings. :) My brother always jokes I'm the Wicked Witch of the East. Just keep the falling houses away from me! lol
Perhaps we could do black glitter mary janes for the bridesmaids? What do you think? We both get a long time wish!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have those amazing Hale Bob black glitter Mary Janes, but they are way too high for comfort and I never did sell them. Ugh I paid too much. Anyhow, what do you think of THESE
which are affordable and come in Red AND Black? Also these
and the stripper platform
Yeah I've seen several variations (including the ones you linked) ranging from 2" chunkier heels to hidden platform french heels closer to 4". Everyone's idea of comfort is different so I'm down for whatever you guys would feel best in from ballet style to hooker heel! lol I think it would be awesome though and SO us ya know?
This is the more traditional lower heeled mary jane found HERE
Cute. That's the pleaser brand in the 2" heel.

Um, I consult for Pleaser.
The line I helped design comes out in June.
TRUST ME WHEN I SAY YOU WILL DIE.
Glitter for us? Wedding is in October. When you can share, can you send Christabel and I links?

Re: check the event album ...
*dies a little* I want some. Srlsy.
And the prices are fair. Even the Bettie Page style hidden platform rhinestone fetish pumps entirely covered in aurora borealis rhinestones will retail for only about $250 and most styles are in the $40 to $80 range.
Lace! Glitter leopard! Silk ribbons! Velvet covered stilettos!
I think I just started crying. :)
I had the true pleasure of watching several close friends hyperventilate when I took them into the design room.

Just so you know ...
I consult for Pleaser and we're just wrapping up a 100+ style line of burlesque shoes that will be available in June.
I can't put up images yet but the shoes are incredible and there are glitter and rhinestone covered shoes that will make you lose your mind.

Re: Just so you know ...
OMG! I may have a stroke. I'm a serious shoe whore and vintage, burlesque styles are really my biggest weakness. Please keep us posted! We'll hold off til then. :)
I am seriously so proud of the product.
Purple Edwardian plush velvet cutaway boots with spool heels will be my second pair.
Right now, I have my 5 inch cold glitter covered fetish peep toe booties!
Baby, why you gotta be so mean! ;)

No hating! Only celebrating!
I ain't mean 'cause soon they will be had by all!
I so hope you'll post a link when they're available. Sounds like they're out of my price range (which doesn't mean they're unfairly priced at all... just that I'm cheap and poor!), but maybe I can arrange at least one splurge. You know I'm a sparkly girl! And please, please, please tell me they'll be available in size 5!

They start in size 5!
And many go to 11 or 12 and several in 13 or bigger.
You are going to lose your damn mind 'cause there are aurora borealis rhinestone covered shoes.
OMG. I am in SOOOOOO much trouble! You know the sparklies get me every single time!
Aurora borealis! *faints*
I have done ten of the things on your list.
I wonder, if I wrote mine, if you would have done some of mine?
I'll let you know! It's fun to write out.
Some of those are easy and one is inexcusable. You have been with Craig how long and this is on your list: "• A man to buy me jewelry"? I have gotten gorgeous jewelery for my wife under $50 that was real (auctions and antiques). It takes a little work but it can be done. What in the heck are you doing to complete your dreams?
I should be more specific. Craig bought me jewelry for Valentine's day 07! I got pearls. I'd like jewelry out of the blue.
This year so far I've:
1. Submitted a technical paper for publication and gotten it published.
2. Spoke at a conference.
3. Went to Belize on a whim instead of a cheaper vacation with my Mom.
4. Sent Bel a ticket to come visit.
5. Read 5 new fantasy series based on recommendations.
6. Contributed to the MS Society and exceeded my fund raising goal, leading as team captain.
7. Got my extra skin fixed.
8. Spent a day watching figure skating with my sister, just us.
9. Maintained at a healthy BMI and did 16 weeks of physical therapy.
10. Read several books and did 6 weeks of therapy, which actually seems to be helping!
11. Learned how to make 3 new recipes.
So all in all, considering the chronic pain I'm really happy about my progress towards completing my dreams. The financial stuff is not doing as well, but that's the case for most everyone.
Do you want jewelry out of the blue or do you want a piece of jewlery for an occasion? 07 was two years ago. Have you effectively communicated your wants/needs to Craig?
Nope, I have not effectively communicated my wants to him about this because I've been so obsessed about wanting nothing but marriage which luckily I've moved past now since we talked things out at therapy. I should let him know! I like the pearls because I wear them with work stuff, but I'd like something more casual to wear on a day I want to feel close to him.
Let's go horse back riding this summer. I know Tiger Mountain has stables and there are other places. Let's do it. I wanted to do it so bad last summer and regret not just doing it.
Hell yes! It's so beautiful up there! I love the idea.
I wish you didn't have to work. I've got meatloaf cooking.
Your meatloaf is my weakness! I resent work for this!
I'll do price surfing and make calls on horse back riding. It'll be so on. I may even have coupons for it. *gasp*
That would be amazing! I hope to get a sweet old horse who is slow and lazy.
I've ridden an elephant! I felt guilty about it, because I don't really believe, in my heart, that elephants should be in circuses and such. All research indicates it's a terrible, traumatic, even torturous life for them, and that's why every once in a while one goes crazy and does something like smoosh his trainer and trample through a city. But I still couldn't resist the chance. Their skin is SO rough!
I've actually ridden a camel, too, though I only have a very limited memory of it.
I really do understand your hunger for not just adventure, but experiences. :o) A very accomplished cousin of mine describes that as being an omnivore, life-wise, rather than food-wise. Despite all the places he's been and things he's done and people he's met (some of them amazing, even very famous) he says he's only met a very, very few people who are omnivores, and that people who are not cannot really understand the compulsion.
I need to make a list like that!
I was hoping to ride an Elephant on a trip somewhere that perhaps it would be out of a circus context, but I see your point. If it never happens I'd be ok with that, but it sounds like an amazing experience to have. It cracks me up how I have many animal related wishes. I do love animals. :)
I was thinking something like this
would be amazing.
A trip like that would so rock. Although I had an immediate and strong dislike for that photo, and I can't especially put a finger on why!
Your large old house wish reminded me of how I feel about my new house. I think one of the reasons I've never been as upset by the weird problems we've encountered is that I fell totally for this house, and I've lived in other old houses and I know they're quirky and have problems. But somehow, while I can't say something like a leaky pipe is fun, meeting those challenges is part of the fun, in a way. Kind of like how a person you love will do oddball things that make you want to roll your eyes but you still love the person, oddball things and all. Maybe even more for knowing the imperfections. And I don't have a big patio, but I do have a lovely porch. I can't wait to get my swing down here and on it!
