Petty Wantings where I post shallow beauty things [Apr. 20th, 2009|02:28 pm]

I'd like a new shirt and a supportive bra as well as some sexy undies. I think I need a trip to the Super Mall.

I'm thinking about not cutting my hair because I had an awesome hair day this weekend. Instead I'm buying more Ojon leave in conditioner which is A$$$pensive.

Maybe after the tax return?

I also wanted to note that if your skin is pretty darn good, as mine has been lately, that the Stila Illuminating Moisturizer for $32 kicks butt and has SPF 15 and since I use it for spring foundation, highligher, and moisturizer/sunblock it's a good deal.

I've been wearing the bomb trio of eyeshadows from Urban Decay (A scary $16 each) in
Midnight Cowboy rides Again

Grind

and Vert

Very spring. I'd like to do some spring eyes and light cheeks for friends soon, but I know better than to think I'll be going OUT. I must invite friends out to the house for wine, cheese, and Asti Tosti champagne.

I've realized that I have so much shopping lust and wardrobe need because I've been too stingy lately. Just staying home. I went out once during the week off with Angela and got 2 skirts and a hoodie, but that was under $40 and I still don't have jeans that fit or any spring tops. The skirts are darling though. I shall show them soon in a phost. I have to finish my documentation first though. When I'm half done I'll celebrate, maybe by buying myself jeans on ebay.

Rhinestone Cowgirl

Let me just say that Midnight Cowboy has been my #1 favorite eye shadow for at least the past 7 years, during which time I only had to purchase 4 jars (which is kind of a big deal considering that I wore it EVERY DAY when I lived in SF). Completely worth the $16 a piece sister.

Re: Rhinestone Cowgirl

Yes. It is worth it for the amount of glitter throughout alone. ;)

I buy the Urban Decay sets and that saves money for me. I love the Smashbox illuminating, but Kristin took it. :(

You will not like my new hair... but I got it colored to be able to do a "scene" look. I'm too old for it, but I don't look it... let me dream. :)

The sets had many colors that I wouldn't wear and I really like the size of the individual ones. I'm thinking that like the Mac pigments, I will likely have them for awhile as they aren't going down very much when I use them.

I'm excited to see the new hair. *giggles* Scene. *giggles more* Ok, I'm way way way too old to even fully grock what that is.

Well, it's not totally scene. I need to be able to put my hair up as hair nets are not an option in my personal opinion for me. This is an example of "scene":

This is like harcore "scene": http://www.wikihow.com/Be-a-Scene-Kid

I had similiar colors in, but I had it spliced with dark brown (not black ew) and a shade light blonde weaved and then also some chunks. If I straighten it and some other scene tricks, it can look pretty scene if I want. I may try it Sat or Sun to get photos so it has time to heal up a bit.

Urban Decay is the bomb for eyeshadow, but I can't deal with eyeshadows that don't have the applicator packaged in with it...

I'm so happy that you can wear pants/jeans again after so long of that being a no-go.

I'm lucky that I have a free brush set, but I use my fingers in a pinch even though that's bad.

I've been in jeans pretty much exclusively since my foot surgery made it impossible to wear heels. Ha! No jeans due to one surgery, but no skirts due to another? It's lucky I've worn anything but a mumu the last year.
