Dessert-Hazelnut Chocolate Cheesecake Filling [Feb. 9th, 2009|08:36 pm]

Using what I had around I made the BOMB dessert.

1/4 cup whole milk ricotta cheese 110 cals 5g
2 tbs reduced fat hazelnut cream cheese (from Panera-Thanks Angela!)80 cals 2g
1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder 20 cals
Sweetener to taste
1/4 tsp real vanilla extract

I stirred this up and it tastes like a filling and amazing chocolate hazelnut cheesecake. Granted, it's still fattening and I had the calories only because I didn't eat much for lunch.

Total:
210 calories
7 grams protein

Not too terrible for a decadent dessert though. I would have this again for sure.

This sounds delicious and I've written the recipe down. Maybe I can make this for Valentines Day Dinner as a dessert. :) Mmm, can't wait to try it.

I found it really filling. There's a recipe for mini crusts on eggface's blog, but I didn't want to cook at all so I didn't try that.

Yum, sounds so good! What would one do who doesn't have Panera around?

I'm not sure. I'd be willing to bet that plain or any flavor available would be good, it just wouldn't be hazelnut. I think cinnamon would be a really good addition too.

I think I might actually have some sf hazelnut coffee syrup somewhere!
