I have my cheap hairstylist back and I can afford the hair, besides I've already cut back to just getting it done every 8 weeks, so that's pretty affordable. I also need professional hair for work (decently well groomed), so it isn't a waste of money.
The tires are important, but not as important as the oven because I do need to cook for us for our health. It's important to my lifestyle and costs us more to eat out.
I vote for other. Other being if the oven actually GETS fixed in one visit, do research on the cheapest safe way to fix the garage door and schedule a reputable company to do that after you get paid on the first for next month's bills.
Then get a car appointment for when I get back from Belize so I have new tires, a tune up, oil change, and new brakes starting in March to go on March bills.
Hair is basic maintaining and I think with my current depression putting it off for more than 2 months is a bad idea. It's already budgeted for a I can afford it. I say the hair must go on.
I agree. As sad as it is, if my hair looks like crap, I'm completely miserable because I'm worrying about something "silly" like that as well as more serious things. If getting your hair done will keep you sane? Do it.
Honestly, it costs $80 every 2 months to have hair I love. That's worth it. I think $10 a week for great hair isn't too much to pay.
sorry, I really wouldn't recommend that, I am just feeling impulsive.
prolly the oven, because you will be pretty screwed if you can't cook and need to make healthy food without it.
I've been without an oven since Dec 20th and it's been sucky! I do have a crockpot and a stovetop and a microwave, but it isn't the same. I've worked my butt off and have done ok, but it's getting old.
If you can't eat, you wil waste away and not be able to make any more money ;)
What's wrong with the garage door? Some times that can wait...so long as it's not making a v-shape and hanging on by a thread ;)
The tires I'd do after you get back.
And your hair..*shrug* I didn't have to do much withen my hair was longer, except color it. And I was able to go 8 weeks easy.
I've already gone 8 weeks with the hair. This is the 8 week appointment, so it's getting kind shaggy. It's not too expensive, so I think I'll go forward because otherwise if I miss it I won't be able to get my hair done until late March. The freaking oven broke on Dec 20th. I've been cooking via crockpot and stovetop only since then. Ugh. This is the 3rd visit (friday) to try to fix it.
I was leaning toward getting the oven fixed, but if getting your hair done saves your sanity go for that. If you don't have a toaster oven, that might be a stop-gap option until you can get the stove fixed.
If the tires you're currently driving on are safe I say leave them. Driving on snow tires is legal until April 1 and it won't damage your car. Also
The snow tires are safe and better if it snows. Besides, it's saving wear on my other tires in the meantime. I commute a LONG way.
okay, I said hair, but the truth is I'm more practical than that and would probably do one of the practical things, like garage door or tires or oven. Though it's also true that when I feel that my hair looks bad it's difficult for me to feel good about myself, even if my clothing and make up could be perfect.
I can honestly afford both as my hairdresser is reasonably priced. Besides she has an adorable newborn, so it's very likely to lift my spirits and depriving her and her baby of part of much needed income won't make me feel good.
*giggles* You crack me up.
Ok, I'm going to do a bit of each I think. Wait on the car because it can wait. Suck it up and wait until I get paid on the garage, but I need my dang hair done. It's cheap and I look like crap with grown out highlights. Besides, lord knows I don't need to get more depressed and b*tchy or someone might put me out of my misery.
Hey, if I have bad hair and get shot for my attitude then I have to figure out either how to pay the hospital bills or a funeral, neither of which I can afford. All in all, the hair salon is cheaper.
I voted for other. And by "other" I mean buy your sister lots of fabulous prizes. *grins*
*giggles* But it isn't even your birthday!
Oh. Well, I guess you've got me there. Looks like I'll be the one buying my sister many fabulous prizes.
