[Current Mood |crankycranky]

In addition to not being able to sleep, and serious pain, and not having been paid back from insurance yet, mounting PT bills (twice weekly), and the thought that since I got paid I just MIGHT be able to go back to therapy again, the water heater is leaking.

Not at a joint. The heater itself is leaking and needs to be replaced. Owning a home. What freaking fun.

And what help am I? I can't even go on a walk today I'm so bad off. I bruised my butt something terrible when I fell over on the Bart while traveling.

I have good things to say, but not this second. I have to figure out what to do about our water heater. We can't shower or do dishes until I get it fixed. It runs on gas. I think we are going to go with a tankless system as it raises the value of the house.

We just found a guy who will replace the old one TONIGHT for under $1000 and that gives us actually 10 gallons more of hot water. Not tankless, but the tankless one was way out of budget right now, so not an option.

Sigh. At least we can SHOWER in the morning.

Oy vey.
Sounds like us earlier this year. First we had to buy a car when we got into an accident and then the water heater went tits up and leaked everywhere. The upside is the new water heater is more awesome and we have saved money on the water bill.
But the savings? wiped.

We did the research and decided NOT to go tankless because we don't have the $3000 it takes, but we are getting a nice new installed safe 50 gallon gas heater TONIGHT for $800 plus tax. Sold. I can shower and so can Craig. That will be a relief. The $800 + tax does suck, but at least it's only $400 each, so we'll just have to be more careful. The BBQ is still on! I have a stuffed rocket pinata and goodie bags sitting on my dining room table right now and a full 4 person badminton set ready to go. There will be water for all, so I can hold back the hysteria for another day. :)

I did panic for awhile there, but a nice shower later will help. I should at least count my blessings that the fridge and freezer didn't die today and the AC is working.

I am clean as a whistle and it cost $870 installed after everything and it has 10 gallons more and is newer, faster, and more efficient, so overall it turned out well with the teamwork.

It will blow you away when you get your water bill over the next couple of months.

Oh, the kicker? Even though our house has gone DOWN in value, they raised our housing taxes by a few thousand dollars. How is that even fair?

Welcome to the fine world of Kafkaesque housing costs and taxes.

I am glad you got it worked out and a good deal. I don't miss sharing owning a house much. It's nice being able to call maint to come fix and or replace stuff. Though there are many rewards to owning like not having to follow all the bs rules or ask before you can do certain things. :)

I hope you had a good weekend otherwise. I miss you.

I miss you too! I think Wed looks good, but I just found out I'm leaving town next Friday and won't be back til Sunday. Need to go see my Bro in Pullman with my Mom. Good Lord I hope my body holds up.

Are you home? How are you doing?

I miss you too!

Also, I desperately need jeans. If you have a supermall urge, I need to go at some point. Only 1 pair I have fits.

I'm still in Oregon and won't be back home until tomorrow after my three hour hair appointment in Pendleton. :) Wait til you see it!

Anyways, Wed looks good for me too as I'll need Tuesday to recover from my driving and working tomorrow.

I need new jeans too, but not sure if I'll have enough time to go to the supermall this week on the nights before work, because I am working alone all night each night as far as I know.

i hope everything is ok with your brother and it's just a visit. I hope your body holds up too. But, then again, it's so hot out here that my pain flares up if I'm outside for more than 30 minutes.

Anyways...

Any ideas on Wed of a place we could go? Do they have outlets or anyplace not super spendy in Issaquah or close to where you work? Could try to meet you in Bellevue, but prices (argh). Was hoping Ross or Marshall's because of prices. Old Navy had a sale, but their legs in their pants are so baggy.

I can't wear pants from Old Navy myself because the legs are too baggy and they stretch way out over a couple hours of wear both of which are incredibly annoying to me. There is a Ross in the same shopping center as my Panera in Issaquah, a Target, Fred Meyer and some other places all in Issaquah. There is Factoria which has some places in it including a Nordstrom Rack, but I haven't been into this Rack.

There may be a Marshall's in Issaquah. I'll find out.

Let's try the Ross in Issaquah? I'd be glad to drive out there for a change. I have to check my work schedule and find out about Friday (since I'm taking time off to go with my Mom) before I set a time, but let's plan on hanging out Wed if we can shop or not.

p.s. We need to get the roof inspected and the freezer ice door fixed too, but GOD why this month? Sheesh. I just need a break so I can buy some pants. I suppose having a credit card balance for one month isn't a big deal, but I just thought I was past that point, you know? It sucks to go into debt.

I know. :( I got rid of my credit card awhile ago so it wasn't even an option, but there are times when I need it.

Crap. Well no, things aren't ok. My Mom and I are on a mission down there with my brother, but we are hoping to help at least. I hope they aren't as bad as she says. I'm pretty worried. Anyhow, on the bright side, the hotel has a pool and I bought an "inspiring audiobook" for part of the 10 hour ride, plus the time with my Mom is always good for me.

I'm looking forward to my PT tomorrow. The massage is heavenly.

I hope it's not as bad as well. Is it the same stuff your mom was talking about before with his marriage? Either way, I hope it's a helpful trip to him and I know you and your mom need the mom-daughter time.

Oooh massage. :)

I didn't get details, only that my help was needed and she was worried, so I said I would go. Family IS family and if there is an emergency, I"m there.

I just hope she's over reacting as a protective Mom, otherwise things may be bad (as in us finding him a place to live) when we get down there.
