Ummm but I thought I said No No? Stop--It's not Hammertoe? [Jul. 30th, 2008|03:06 pm]

How would you feel if you spend 2 hours and $250 and ended up with just a slip of paper with a guy's name and number on it? Like a drug deal gone wrong? Then you need to see my Orthopedic guy. :) He actually was quite nice, but told me that while my toe x-rays were "quite good" my toe itself is a problem. The joint is so swollen that it "many technical terms which means it won't bend anywhere it should".

I must go see a foot surgeon. Umm, I just told Tiffany before I left I wasn't have any surgery for at least a year and I STILL hurt?

Well it appears at first glance from a specialist I've royally f'ed up the ligament to my right 3rd toe upper toe joint to the extent I won't be able to walk or hike very well if I don't get some help for it. It isn't just "oh let's do some physical therapy". Most likely they need to fuse that tiny toe tip joint surgically before it swells more and I can't walk well. Oh well, it seems my career as a prima ballerina is over.

Or something. He wants me to see some other guy who has a foot fetish so much he loves to cut them and all day, hopefully not with an axe, so that's the deal. He has a name I can't pronounce or spell or read, so I haven't called him yet. Nagerearananajab, how hard is that? Ok,..ready for THIS Shrek fans? No joke, but his real name is Dr. Farooqur It's Wayqar Khan Farooqur. Too bad you can't use formal names in scrabble. Any freaking idea who to ask for? Compensating for something?

Well, in good news, at least I did something about it and other things are better? I'm usually in so much pain that the toe ligament being gone wasn't bugging me much compared to the nerve pain, so I just didn't say anything for 6 months. I really need some good news. Maybe the foot doc will say he was just kidding and awesome new drug "toebegood" has now been released. I take for 10 days and feel better?

If so, please, please tell me you've seen that movie Office Space and are aware of how awesome of a name that is. Please.

Is that pronounced Wanker Con Fa ROO ker? Do you think he is also a marsupial?

Pardon me Dr. Wanker, but I believe you should be working for the Viagra company.

That's it, I'm buying a new sparkly magic wand and waving it in your direction. All these painful medical issues need to stop, like NOW!

Can you wand tell me whom I should ask to see when I call the medical office? Asking for Dr. Wanker Fa Roo Quad can't be too popular. ;)

Um, yeah, I think I'd have to go with the generic "I'm here to see the foot specialist" in this case.

Do you think Mom will be able to survive, knowing that neither daughter will be a prima ballerina? *grins*
