Want [Jul. 25th, 2008|10:52 am]
Lanette

Romance
I'm the kind of girl who wants to go for a day hike not more than 8 miles.

When I say camping I mean a place with a shower and a bathroom.

I want you to get a passport and take me to see the flowers and book high tea in the Fairmont Empress hotel in Victoria.

I want you to pack a picnic and take me to a gentle walking trail, and then have us eat lunch there and you to bring the camera too.

When I fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing a Broadway show in New York, I want you to be there and I don't want to feel like I dragged you along.

I want to go to dinner and a movie because it was your idea and it doesn't suck.

Toys
And I want to go to the new Sephora they are opening at South Center and I want glitter and Philosophy Raspberry lipgloss.

An Apple Airbook on discount.

And an iPhone.

I want sparkly shoes that fit and a dress to wear dancing.

I want one slutty clubbing outfit and a date to go out in it.

House
I want a scooba for the other flooring.

I want a litter robot II.

I want new flooring in the guest bathroom and laundry room.

I want to paint the "exercise room"

I want to paint the Laundry Room with something neutral.

I want to get new countertop covering that is stone such as granite for the kitchen AND the upstairs bathroom.

I want to replace 4 drawers and restain and put on new hardware for the rest of the cabinets which are still really nice.

I want to get the rest of our carpets cleaned.

I want the garage cleaned and organized with things in the attic.

I want the office TOTALLY cleaned and my things finally hung up.

I want things hung up in the "exercise room" after it is painted and my yoga ball and weight set in there at least with my TV and DVD's and a DVD player so I can do bellydance videos again.

I want to organize my closet and put into bins everything that doesn't fit right now. I want to loan out the slightly too big things to friends who agree to give them back to me when I regain my 10-15lbs I'm working on.

I want the projector set up with the PS3 and we can watch the most awesome Blue Ray movie ever.

These are things with saving for. These are things worth waiting for.

What a girl needs? Just to feel better, that's all. And love.

:) I have to wait until some bills are paid, but I'm seriously hoping to buy an iPhone soon!!!!! It's a dream for over a year.

The smallest lightest air laptop would be so awesome for my FUBARED spine. I would love to carry it to and fro with ease.

Unfortunately, there are no discounts to be had on the new iPhone, since it's not available at the store.
The MacBook Air, I can definitely help you with. 15% off sound good?

I love Philosophy stuff...it's so yummy.

I take it Craig refuses to fly too? So does Rob. Unless I agree to knock him out somehow before takeoff. How will I ever get him to take me to Hawaii or to Europe that way?

I hope that Craig will soon consider flying. It's something I NEED (not want) long term. However, I am willing to wait if he is willing to work on it and take baby steps.

I can't imagine my entire life with a partner who will not get on a plane, especially as a person who wants to be a parent, but I understand that it takes time, just as I am afraid of spiders, extra pressure isn't going to help when it comes to fear. It is up to him to feel the motivation to want to be able to do more.

He's helped me to at least not scream when I see spiders and not want them all dead. I support the spider relocation program now. However if they come in again their life is forfeit.

yeah I know what you mean. I am trying to picture baby steps for getting on a plane...I wonder if airlines or somebody has some sort of program or flight simulators for people like that.

Careful with the granite

There's a report in the New York Times today about granite emitting radon and/or being radioactive from uranium.

http://blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/secretingredients/archives/144309.asp

There's something to be said for tile and/or Corian.

Re: Careful with the granite

I'll consider the options. Right now I"m not close to having the money to make this house upgrade.

There is nothing like a show on Broadway. When you get there, it will be worth every minute of waiting :)

I guess that's something us East Coast people take for granted. Strangely enough though, in the time I lived in NYC, I never went.

I think you ask a little much in the romance department. Just about the Broadway show. I don't think there is a straight man out there who wouldn't be "dragged along", so I think that the most you can ask for is no complaints. Heh.

Big hugs to you!!! Your house is seriously one of the most beautiful houses I have ever been in. It is fabulously decorated, clean and homey, and totally warm and inviting. I loved it and so did Jeremy.

And I love you too!!

Awwww! Thank you! That is so sweet. I love our home too. That's part of why I like to think about keeping it nice because it was a big investment.
