Why do people not complain about the fact that she looked entirely stoned?
They have, but for some reason it doesn't seem to get the same amount of airplay...
I know, If I looked like her I would probably be wearing the bikini to work, and everywhere else..
Sorry about missing your party, Bryan got a panicked request from our housemate to help with a dress that she was making for her mom that ate all the time of Saturday until it was all gone.
It sounds like you had a good party though, the house sounds lovely.
She looked like she had snorted something, washed down some valium with a shot of booze, and then went out on stage.
I would certainly be showing my butt (although, with panties) to anyone who would look. Maybe even get my own LJ for it? ;)
Hopefully Craig and I will try again to lure people out. It would be great to see you. I still go to Seattle on occasion outside of work *wistles innocently*. My lack of clubbing lately is pretty sad.
one of my coworkers was bitching about the stoned-look today (the other one bitching about her wearing something that she "didn't look good in"). I didn't see it and have been avoiding the "news." :)
I will say, the "performance" was shockingly bad. As in, wouldn't win a high school talent show bad. I think calling her fat really is lame and overlooks the real problem which is the drug issue.
She is very far from fat and the press should be smacked for implying that she is. She is not nearly as toned as she once was, but of course she had 2 babies back to back and has spent the last however many months really putting some garbage in her system. Vodka is not a diet drink after all.
As for the performance, I swear I could see her counting out the steps as she danced.
"step ball change 2-3-4 spin 2-3-4."
The story I read on the topic mentioned that she was out partying within 12 hours of the performance, on top of spending part of the rehearsal drinking.
If I had that body, I'd probably never put on real clothes again. If people are going to complain about her, complain about her drinking/smoking. Being that in shape is definitely not fat. Sheesh.
The amount of attention that media, even mainstream media (!) spends on Hollywood Airheads is beyond me. And the British Press has slathered it all over the place. Again, sheesh.
Yeah, the smoking/drinking/drugging thing is a bit of an issue, yet, had she been as fit/thin/toned as they wanted they would all only talk about how "amazing" she looked. It's entirely unhealthy.
Why didn't someone tell her that she's the star, she's supposed to look better than the backup dancers, not the other way around? A different outfit would have been much better. If I ever threaten to go on stage in an outfit THAT uncomplimentary (is that a word?) to my body, I really hope SOMEONE tells me to change!
I've seen things on the internet calling her "super fat". Uh, no, she just doesn't look as good as she did when she was 17. And who does, especially after 2 babies? I personally think her hair looks WAY worse than her body does. It's time to touch up the roots, babe.
Well, they did tell her. THere was a corset that went with the outfit, but she decided not to wear it because it wasn't "sexy enough". Her hair is badly done extensions because she shaved her head this summer. She fired the person who prepared her hair (can't blame her on that one).
Wow, I didn't know you knew so much about Brittney! Have you been reading "The Star" lately or something?
No. I just read the news. Seriously, this was on the news.
Disgusting that this passes for news.
And no wonder she was drinking, you'd HAVE to be drunk to go on stage looking like that when you're a sex symbol.
Hell. I've only had one baby. She's had TWO and looks better than I ever will!
I feel bad for her. I never thought I would, but I do.
If my body looked like that I would wear a bikini to the beach.
If my body looked like that, I'd wear a bikini everywhere! LOL!
I've never been pregnant and still have not had the body to wear close to that outfit.
I don't really think I did before I had a baby, either. I've had stretch marks since I was about twelve or so. A growth spurt, and since then, some times of quick weight gain have left their marks on me.
I remember seeing clips of her performance on the Today show the other day. And more than her looking wasted, nervous, lip syncing, or anything, I was just sitting there going, "No stretch marks? Two babies and no stretch marks? No fair!"
Having a body like that might be awesome, but feeling good and being healthier are even better, though.
The problem here is that not only is she held up to America's societal views on weight, she is held to the FAAAAAR worse standards of Hollywood weights. So, considering those standards, she is borderline obese here. While she is not even CLOSE to fat, she should have realized that sometimes covering up with a corset (as was suggested to her by MTV costumers), is MUCH more sexy than a bikini and hot pants.
She is a sad case of Hollywood chewing young people up and spitting them out.
