No Like Kimchee at Work [Mar. 22nd, 2006|01:12 pm]

Kimchee is stinky. Yuck. I wish it was banned from the workplace. It isn't reasonable to expect to eat something that smells so strongly that the entire floor is forced to smell it at work.

Note: I am also opposed to corned beef and cooked cabbage, or carp left rotting in an office. If it smells like something died, please just eat it at home!

As popular as it is, worldwide, cooked cabbage reeks to high heaven!

Is there a lunchroom where spicy pickled cabbage lovers can get away from the haters?

*grins* Your right to eat reeking food ends where my nose begins? Hahaha. We have a very nice picnic area outside, and it's 25 feet from the door,..much like the smokers ;)

Monday would be perfect if it is ok after work. If I remember correctly you live up north now?

Awesome. My aunt lives up there. Man the traffic sucks at night though, if Sunday Evening works, that might be a better idea.

We have official office rules that are imparted during orientation. No microwave popcorn and no reheating fish in the microwave. We don't seem to have a rampant kimchee problem though.

The fish and kimchee have gotten out of control. The perpetrator is in my row and a really nice guy, but MAN combined with the post surgery nauseated feeling it is killing me this week!

We had Irish food here on Monday. I high-tailed it out of there asap. So much cabbage! So much corned beef!

Eeew.

I used to work in a very small office (25 people) with a guy who made fish every friggin' day.

Subtle hints such as, "Oh my god, who is cooking their running shoes in the microwave again!" were not accepted. We finally had to make a "no obnoxious smells in the workplace" rule.

He never DID get the hint.

I'm glad I'm not the only hater out there.

The only thing worse is working with a couple hundred Indian dudes. They all bring curry with them for lunch and heat it up in the microwave.

DEAR LORD, it was so rank and it would just hang in the air all day.
