Ugh. I am flying RIGHT in the middle of the Superbowl and the Seahawks are in it for the first time ever. Does anyone know if AM radio will work in an airplane or if it is allowed? Is there anything I can do to get the superbowl while flying to San Jose?

u wont be allowed to use a radio due to interference that is caused by the transmitter and receiver- though technically it probably will not interefere, you really dont want to be caught if it does end up interefering cause thats a felony and comes with horrible fines and jail time. your best bet is to have someone record it for you and then listen to it later.

Well some flights now have broadband, so maybe there's a site you can stream it from.

whoops!

Anyway, as braxana said. However they will update you on the score periodically throughout your flight (they have done this for me on flights before). If the flight is equipped with broadband or other access, you could access it that way, but given that it's a sea->san jose flight I suspect the flight won't have that feature (but might have the $10/min dialup feature, ick).

Stand by

here is an old trick from an old traveler.
Most airlines will let you fly stand by for free on the day of your ticket. So you could leave early from Seattle and find a sports bar or hotel bar to watch the game in.

Let me know if you need more information.

Re: Stand by

Yeah, they let you fly stand by.
I am sure most of the flight in the morning will be pretty wide open.
